Students from Fishers Island School from Kindergarten through 6th grade will read and perform their favorite holiday tales and skits. Several special guests from the community will also read!
Come share hot chocolate, cider, cookies and snacks and celebrate the best stories of the holidays with us!

Not Getting Those Telephone Calls?

Have you recently had a friend from out of town say they have tried to call but no answer, or the phone keeps ringing or other problems? Has your phone rung but no one is on it when you answer it?  These and other similar problems have become a national issue lately to the point that the Federal Communications Commissions (FCC) has been investigating the problem. What is causing these relatively recent phenomena given the fact that telephones have been around for 100 years?  The leading theory concerning the problem is not about technology, it’s about money.

Dear Fishers Island School Families:

The Fishers Island School will host a Scholastic Book Fair on December 3-7, 2012. The Book Fair will be open each day from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, as well as before and after the Winter Concert on Friday, December 7, 2012. 
 

It will feature a wide range of books including picture books and easy readers, mystery and adventure novels, sports guides, and the latest bestsellers. Parents, children, teachers, and the community are invited to attend.
