More mainstream media mentions of Fishers Island. Today it's the New York Times, covering Pete Malinowski's oyster program in New York Harbor.

New Store opening on Montauk Ave.

There are a few shopping opportunities on Montauk Ave. on the 4th of July weekend! James Hall's new Store is opening (the old Peepfrogs) with a trunk show. The artist comes from Florida to share her jewelry designs. Attached is the flyer for that. Also, while you are rummaging at the Union Chapel and OLOG, please stop off at the corner of Montauk and Hedge St. for a Community Tag Sale!

4th of July Parade Information!

The Independence Day IPP Bike Parade, ICC Fife and Drum event and FIRE DEPT Picnic are on Sunday, July 4th.

The parade begins at the movie theater, approximately 12:15.

NL Day article: Grads are in a class by themselves

The June 28 Day has a nice article about school grads Sydney Streimer and Andrea Grader.

When people hear that Sydney Streimer and Andrea Grader take a ferry to and from school every day, they always have a lot of questions.

Like, "Is it cold?"

"I think they think it's like a rowboat," Grader said with a laugh.
